Are the insurance figures real quotes?
No. They're indicative estimates based on published young-driver premium data for a London black-box policy — a way to compare cars, not a price we can hold you to. When you buy through Vouched we introduce you to authorised insurers for a real quote.
Why is everything based on London?
We're launching in London first, so our premium estimates use a London base profile. You can still enter a postcode — for now it just sets expectations, and local pricing lands in a later release. Insurance is roughly car × area × age, so the ranking of cheap-to-run cars holds up well outside London even before then.
What does “Vouched” actually mean?
A Vouched car has passed a 100-point physical inspection with a written report you can download, on top of the automated MOT, mileage and DVLA checks every listing gets. It's inspected and reported honestly — never guaranteed or warranted.
How does the payment protection work?
Your money is held by an independent, FCA-regulated escrow provider until you have the keys and the logbook. Vouched never holds your money — we set up the escrow between you and the seller.
What does it cost to buy?
Browsing, the First-Car Finder and enquiring are free for buyers. Sellers pay a success fee only when their car sells, and can choose to pay for the Vouched inspection.
I'm selling — how do I start?
Head to “Sell your car”, give us your reg, name, phone and asking price, and we'll come back with next steps and an indicative price. No upfront cost, no obligation.
Do you have listings yet?
We're in pre-launch. The First-Car Finder works today; the first Vouched cars arrive with our launch cohort in London. Join the waitlist to be first.
