About · the problem we solve

Why Vouched exists

Buying your first car at 17–24 is where the money and the risk collide. The sticker price is the small number; insurance is the big one — and nobody shows you both together before you fall for a car you can't afford to run.

Meanwhile the facts you need are scattered: the price on one site, an insurance guess on another, the MOT history on a third. Nobody puts the whole picture in one place before you commit to a car.

What we do

Vouched is a first-car cost checker built for young drivers and the parents who help them. Tell us your age, postcode and budget and our First-Car Finder shows the true monthly running cost of each car — insurance, tax, fuel and MOT — with every figure cited to a public source and the car's price kept separate. It works wherever the car is listed: Facebook Marketplace, Gumtree, a forecourt or a neighbour's driveway.

We're deliberately focused. 164 cars — the ones people actually buy first — each checked against government MOT data, safety ratings and real market prices, as we grow carefully across Great Britain.

What we won't do

We don't sell cars and we never hold your money. We don't give insurance or financial advice — where insurance is involved we introduce you to authorised providers, who may pay us a commission; it never changes the figures or rankings we show you. Our estimates are based on public data and are always labelled as estimates, never quotes.
